Itter

Hilltop-castle hamlet with the smallest village in SkiWelt.

Itter is the smallest SkiWelt village, a hamlet of around 1,200 inhabitants at 703 m clustered around a 13th-century hilltop castle. The lift base feeds onto the Hohe Salve gondola from below; lodging is essentially a handful of guesthouses. Best for skiers who want quiet quarters and don't mind a five-minute drive or local-bus ride to the larger Söll or Hopfgarten centres for evening dining.
