Hopfgarten im Brixental

Lowest SkiWelt base: value-leaning, British loyal clientele.

Hopfgarten is the lowest base in SkiWelt at 622 m, a working Tyrolean valley town with a strong British loyal clientele dating to the 1970s. The lift base climbs to Hohe Salve via the Salvenmoos gondola and the village kept its baroque church and farming character. The low altitude makes it the most weather-dependent SkiWelt base; the trade-off is lower prices and easier rail access than the higher villages.
