La Plagne

Constellation of ten villages from valley farms to high-altitude purpose-built bases.

La Plagne is a network of ten villages across the Plagne plateau, ranging from low-altitude traditional bases (Montchavin, Champagny-en-Vanoise) at 1,250 m to purpose-built high-altitude resorts (Plagne Centre, Plagne Bellecôte, Aime 2000) at 1,950–2,100 m. The high villages give immediate ski-in/ski-out at the cost of architecture; the lower villages are prettier but require lifts to reach the main bowl. La Plagne suits intermediates and families above all.
