Saalbach
Pedestrianised après-hub of the Skicircus, busy and lively.
Saalbach is the main hub of the Skicircus, a pedestrianised Salzburg village at 1,003 m with the densest concentration of lifts, lodging, and après bars in the area. The Schattberg X-press gondola climbs from the village centre into the heart of the Skicircus loop; lodging spans family-run gasthofs to high-end ski-in/ski-out hotels. The après scene is loud (the Hinterhag Alm is one of Austria's busiest mountain bars), and the village tilts young-adult.
