Gressoney-La-Trinité
Walser-culture central base: touring access, alpine quiet.
Gressoney-La-Trinité is the central village on Monterosa Ski's Lys Valley side, at 1,635 m. The Walser-culture hamlet has been a ski base since the early 20th century; today it offers gondola access to Passo dei Salati and onward links to Champoluc and Alagna. Touring crowds use it as a launchpad for high-altitude routes off Punta Indren and Stolemberg. Lodging is small and family-run; the village stays quiet even mid-season.
