Alagna Valsesia
Piedmont freeride end-of-the-road, raw and committed.
Alagna Valsesia sits at 1,191 m in the Sesia valley, the Piedmont gateway into Monterosa Ski. Skiers come for the Indren freeride sector: long, steep, off-piste lines unmatched in the rest of the Alps, with ski-touring guides nearly mandatory. The village itself is small and Walser, with cobbled streets and a handful of guesthouses; nightlife is minimal and the pace stays earnest. Best for committed off-piste skiers who don't want a polished resort.
