Set in northern Patagonia's Neuquén province, near the Chilean border, Caviahue sits high in the southern Andes on the flanks of an active volcano. The terrain is high-alpine and largely above the tree line, in a remote continental mountain setting.

Getting there

Hard to reach

Fly into Neuquén (NQN), about 4.5 hours from the resort by road.

Chapelco (CPC) near San Martín de los Andes is the other option. The closer Chilean airports require an Andes border crossing that is impractical in winter.
